Privacy Policy — Wiz Utils

Wiz Utils (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains the types of information we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, and your rights in relation to that information. By using Wiz Utils (the “Service”) — including our Discord bot and website — you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information we collect

We collect information required for the bot to function and to improve the Service. Data categories include:

• Server (Guild) Data: server ID, server name, channel IDs and role IDs used to configure the bot. This data is necessary for server-specific features (welcome images, leveling, autoroles).
• User Data: Discord user ID, username, avatar URL, and any feature-specific records (e.g., leveling XP, economy balances, moderation logs) only when those features are enabled on your server.
• Usage & Technical Data: logs, command usage, error traces, uptime, latency and aggregated analytics used to diagnose issues and improve reliability.
• Optional Contact Data: information you submit via support, email, or bug reports (support messages, screenshots, emails) which we retain to provide support.

2. How we use information

We use the data we collect to:

• Operate and deliver core functionality (welcome banners, leveling, moderation, logs, autoroles).
• Monitor and improve performance, reliability and user experience.
• Investigate and prevent abuse and security incidents.
• Provide support and respond to inquiries you submit.
• Generate aggregated statistics (e.g., server counts, member counts) for status pages and marketing (non-identifying).

3. Data sharing & third parties

We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited information with third-party service providers who assist in operating the Service (hosting, database, error monitoring). All providers we work with are contractually bound to process data in accordance with our instructions and this policy. We do not share data with advertisers or marketing companies.

4. Data retention

We retain data only for as long as necessary to provide the Service and for legitimate business purposes (analytics, security, legal obligations). Typical retention practices:

• Server configuration: retained until the bot is removed or the server requests deletion.
• Leveling/economy data: retained until reset or deletion requested by server admins.
• Error logs & analytics: rotated and pruned regularly.

5. Security

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect data. These include encrypted transport, access controls and monitoring. No system is absolute — in the event of a security incident we will notify affected parties and take appropriate mitigation steps.

6. Children

Wiz Utils is not designed for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, contact us to request deletion.

7. Your rights
